Suspension AGV caster wheels manufacturer in China

Suspension AGV caster wheels

Tulok designs and manufactures many different caster configurations for aerospace companies, military contractors and private manufacturers. Like you, we’re not afraid to venture into uncharted territory to solve our customers’ material handling and transportation needs to increase productivity and save costs.

Our specially designed casters for AGVs extend battery life and reduce motor torque. They also allow for more precise movements with minimal vehicle sway.
This allows the AGV to move heavier loads without requiring a larger drive system.

Heavy duty configuration

Our extra heavy duty kingpinless casters are valued for their simplicity and ability to perform in industrial applications where shock loads are prevalent.

The structure of the rotating part allows the ball bearing to withstand a huge load, providing great strength when rotating under load, while providing smooth operation.

Tulok’s American Muscle line offers a variety of low profile, heavy duty casters and wheels designed to move up to 200,000 lbs. as needed or more.

Ergonomic configuration

Twigo? Are Tulok’s patented ergonomic casters with a multi-wheel one-piece design. It is designed to reduce initial and sustained thrust (25% on average, with some users reporting a 50% reduction), as well as applied turning force.

Tulok has developed a complete line of ergonomic casters, wheels and related accessories for the company designed to reduce initial, continuous and rotational push/pull forces. Easier trolley movement means less power for the AGV to extend battery life.

Standard configuration

Casters like our 97 and 97HD series provide the ultimate maintenance-free combination. The smooth rotational action combined with the extended lead helps reduce ergonomic forces and minimize employee injury. Weight capacities are 10,000 and 20,000 lbs. respectively. The 97 and 97HD provide better rolling capabilities for AGV carts such as the Omni-Drive Directional System, and enable electric platforms to be equipped with smaller batteries while carrying heavier loads.

Custom configuration

Whether you need a unique solution to a unique challenge or just modify casters from our catalog, we can easily accommodate your custom requirements.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility enables us to perform all major functions in-house, including polyurethane processing. This allows us to build precise specifications with greater precision and tighter tolerances.

Shock absorbing AGV caster wheels

Why choose our suspension AGV casters

1. Our suspended AGV casters have shock absorption and stability

The workshop floor cannot be completely leveled. Traditional casters are pushed or pulled by a person. With a pit, people can push; however, suspended AGV casters are highly automated equipment. No one was watching and holding them. In a small pit, if the wheels of the AGV are not on the same plane, it is easy to slip.

We recommend that you can choose casters with a flat bearing structure design. Through this design, it can effectively withstand the pressure of rotation, buffer and ensure the stability of the AGV. If the AGV wheel with the plane bearing structure is still prone to slippage, we recommend buying casters with “spring damping” to ensure that the driven wheel and the driving wheel are on the same plane.

2. Our suspension AGV casters are durable

Most casters on the market serve industrial products. The use of these wheels is based on people’s behavior. Ordinary people work for 8 hours at a speed of no more than 1.4m/s. They also need rest. Casters do not need to work all the time. AGV does not rely on human actions, it works continuously for 7*24 hours, and the speed is 3-4m/s, so the use loss of suspension AGV caster wheels is much higher than that of ordinary casters.

Maybe the lifespan of a normal caster is 3 years, but only 3 months on an AGV. Therefore, the life of AGV casters cannot be evaluated by the life of ordinary casters.

3. Our suspension AGV casters are flexible

The power of the AGV car is highly dependent on the driving wheel, and the flexibility of the driven wheel affects the power system of the driving wheel. Especially when the AGV car moves forward, directly backwards or turns left and right, the fluidity of the auxiliary wheels is not good, and the AGV is prone to yaw, causing movement problems, and even causing the transported goods to fall.

The flexibility of the AGV drive wheel is determined by two aspects.

The first is the flexibility of the wheels themselves. Not only can the wheels rotate 360° without hindrance

The second is that the bracket can be rotated, and it must be 360° flexible and barrier-free.

It is precisely because of the uniqueness of AGV follower wheels (AGV casters) that it is difficult to directly use AGV trolleys with ordinary casters in the market. Therefore, we suggest that you can choose customized AGV casters to meet your needs.

If you’re in the caster business, you know that 3.5″ to 5″ diameter industrial casters are the industry standard. Like the Honda Civic, they are everywhere. When they fail, you can replace the casters with new ones and keep the same hardware. But what about industrial casters that don’t fail—like those critical to automated guided vehicles (AGVs)? Ordinary industry standard casters just don’t have enough power to lick and keep ticking.

Well, thanks to Hamilton’s brand new Endurance line, there is now an industry standard sized caster. With a maximum load rating of 1,000 pounds per caster, Endurance has the highest rated industrial casters with the same key dimensions as the industry’s largest product category. It is also the first and only line of industrial casters to feature a forged kingpinless construction and heat-treated raceway design in a compact form factor.

In other words, Endurance looks industry standard, but goes above and beyond. Our engineering professionals selected the most common caster sizes on the market and matched their gauge, height and offset to a tough, nail-like design. Endurance’s forged steel construction is ideal for applications that require 24/7 operation and/or are too critical to fail. The Endurance range is available in 3 ½”, 4″ and 5″ diameter options, with single, double and stainless steel versions. Want more stability and more capacity without taking up a lot of space? Choose the Endurance two-wheeled model.

The only dimensional difference in the Endurance is its wheel width and leg thickness. For higher load ratings and durability, Endurance comes with 2″ wide wheels and 1/4″ thick legs (other brands have 1 1/4″ wide wheels). You’ll pay more upfront for its premium construction and ultra-rugged design – and then reap the savings in the long run while it’s running without breaking a sweat. Endurance is purpose-built and over-engineered for applications where replacement costs are high.
