When Merv Griffin's first successful game-show creation Jeopardy was originally cancelled in January of 1975, it was replaced on the NBC daytime lineup by a new creation of Griffin's, Wheel of Fortune.

Before appearing on Wheel of Fortune Vanna White was once a contestant on The Price Is Right, but never made it out of Contestant's Row.

Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford were the original host and letter-turner on Wheel of Fortune when it debuted in 1975. Pat Sajak replaced Woolery in late 1981. Vanna White took over for Stafford almost a year later.

If all three Daily Doubles are in the top row of the Jeopardy board, are the last selections made on the board, and everything is wagered every time, including Final Jeopardy, the most a player can win in one day is $283,200.
