OK, I take it back.
It's gonna be a helluva lot easier to do my regular updating on my Xanga page, so I don't see ant point in duplicating the stuff over here. Go ahead & check out that page for my latest and greatest.
I will reserve this page however, for rants on certain topics that I feel would be out of place on that other page. Like NASCAR, for instance:
Story today is that car owner Chip Ganassi is exercising his option and keeping lame-duck driver Jamie McMurray in the 42 car next year, even though McMurray is already signed to replace Mark Martin in the #6 in 2007. This move forces Martin to stay in the 6 for a year longer than his planned retirement.
This is an enormously stupid decision for two major reasons. One, why in the world would any owner want to keep a driver in a car for over a year, knowing full well he is angry about being there? Angry NASCAR drivers lead to accidents on the track.
Second, and more importantly, if Martin should be seriously injured or killed next year on the track, driving when he shouldn't have had to, Ganassi will instantly become the most hated man in America (by Americans, the rest of the world will still hate Bush more), and if he ever goes back to a track after such an incident, he better have more security with him than the president if he values his health at all.
